QUIRK Family ... Manx Heritage & DNA

I have just returned to Australia after a r-t-w 2 month jaunt and only spent three days on the Isle. We stayed at Glen Helen and were overpowered by the beauty, character, special feelings and warmth of your land and you locals ... staff and all at big Museum, little Leece one and FHS deserve special thanks. We will return somehow ....
Previously I had sourced my family line from Quirk One-Name Society (now off the air it appears) and numerous posts on this site; starting with a John QUIRK and Margaret LEECE/LACE and including a Philip QUIRK and Mary PARR. One of their sons, James QUIRK married a Susannah CHRISTIAN Sept 1793 in Patrick and as consequence of this marriage held Knockaloe Farm for a time ... whilst his younger brother William (my link) moved to Liverpool with his father into shipwright work.
We visited Knockaloe but have not been able to trace any other solid link; births are usually shown as Ballavagher German Parish also inscriptions at old Peel Church.
Would anyone be aware of any remaining possible links to this family line of "quirks" or have come across them in some way ??
My further obsession in sourcing family background has included joining DNA register with National Geographic/Family Tree ... likely family journey includes late celtic connection to Ireland from Spain then on to IOM and Britain. Are their any other "quirks" who have also registered or interested persons in similar tests ?? Does anyone support the view that ALL "quirks" are from the original "quirk" as shown in the Manx Notebook pages on family names.
If any readers are lost Manxmen like I, you must go back if only for a few days .... it is a very special place.
