Hello again Frances
The family I am after didn't stay in the IOM. Daniel was from Co. Down, Ireland and he most likely died there. However he had a daughter Ann in 1843 and on the baptismal record (which may be some time after her birth) there is reference to the mother being from the IOM. So by 1843 the family were all back in Ireland. It looks as if the marriage of Daniel to Isabella is NOT the right one. However I always find it's just as useful to exclude a possible match as it is to find the right one. Was there any mention of a Daniel Ro(d)gers on the 1841 census?
Thanks again for your help.
Fiona.
