I have:
William Gorry c1771, pob Isle of Man, and Catherine Corlett c1866/9, pob either Peel or Patrick . They married in Patrick 27 Aug 1796, and had, according to the IGI, six children.
The first, William, was born in Peel in May 1799, the other five were born in KG - presumably in Peel. William died sometime between the 1841 and 1851 censuses, and there's an entry in Lawson for a Catherine Gorry who was buried in Patrtick on 14 Apr 1852.
My problem is that I can't be confident that I have the right Catherine (though there's isn't a better candidate). Her 'best fit' parents are Adam Corlett & Margaret Christian who had their first three children in Michael, and another six in, including Catherine, in German.
A problem arises because despite being born in Peel, and having all her children there, she was married in Patrick and was buried in Patrick in 1852 ( she was actually with her daughter in law Ann Gorry nee Christian in Peel at the 1851 census).
Is there a Corlett guru who can hold my hand on this one? Thanks in anticipation.
