I'm trying to find out about a relative, Henry Richbell Blake, who died on 1 January 1885 (entry in family bible) and is reputed to have died in a hotel fire (he was a commercial traveller). The only hotel I can find that possibly burned down in January 1885 is the Marine Hotel in Peel. I also can't find Harry Blake's death in the English or Scottish records, so a death in the Isle of Man seems quite likely. Can anyone tell me if there is any record of him having been a victim of the Peel hotel fire?
