I seem to have run out of leads in searching for the marriage of William Cowell to Jane Crellin. Likely around the 1870s. I have searched ancestry, Lawsons, manx notebook, IGI but no luck so far.

The only real "fact" I have is that their daughter Sarah Jane Cowell was born in 27th April 1879. The information on her birth registration is --

"Sarah Jane Cowell born 27 April 1879 at 8, Post Office Lane, Douglas to William Cowell Plasterer and Jane Cowell formerly Crellin. Jane registers the birth 23rd May 1879 and signs with her mark"

In 1881 Census the family may be living at 1, Thornhill, Douglas. Although William's trade noted as "Muem" However, the cursive script is not clear.

Any information, advice or clues much appreciated.
