Although not an answer to your question if you
do not know the location of Alms House Lane this may be of interest. It was in old Douglas near
the present day Lord Street not far from Douglas
Harbour. At one end once had been the Ramsey Inn /
terminus of daily coach to Ramsey & at other end the
House which gave the lane its name. Later known as
Widows' Home. Lane demolished 1935. St Barnabas church was very close by. Ref. Streets of Douglas Slack
