The transcript I used doesn't have the witnesses' names, who possibly could help.

At the end of this I came to the conclusion that the most likely parents were William Christian & Margaret Cowle whose children included Margaret bapt 17 SEP 1786 Ramsey, Cath bapt 12 DEC 1781 Bride (eldest child), William bapt 2 FEB 1785 Maughold (eldest son) - but to confirm this family you needed to look at the various parish registers involved on LDS film and also look for other possible family wills, because Christian was a very common name in the IoM.
