Trying to follow up my fathers sister, Frances Marion (Christian) SHIMMIN, born 1887 in Peel.
In an e-mail from America comes scant details of a couple of marriges.
"she married a man named Clarke, he died , they didn't have any children"
"She later married Philip Quayle (he had a previous marriage to a lady in Lanark, Scotland, with a son) they both met on the Island and were married and had six children"
I know that Philip Quayle left the Island when the fishing net industry was transferred from Peel to Gourock in Scotland.
Any help would be much appreciated. Colin.
