Re: fayle family
In Response To: fayle family ()

The name Fayle is interspersed with Fell as in this case.

Someone has put a lot of work into entries in IGI some of which are dubious but give an indication.

Ann Mcneale married Charles Sayle then John Fayle. John Fayle married Ann Goldsmith then Ann Mcneale. The combined family can be seen 1881 at Ballavar, a farm near the Fairy Bridge off the old Castletown Road.
Rachel and her sister Harriet came later.

Manx Notebook has a grave inscription for Santon which includes Charles Sayle, Ann Fell and a son of George and Harriet Quayle. Harriet Sayle (Quayle) was from the first marriage.
The son ,John Edwin Frederick, and his sister Harriet can be seen in Brian Lawson's Index.
