I'd doubt it as eldest son of an advocate I suspect he would not be a shoemaker at 20
there is a better contender in 1841c at Ballaspurt in German a shoemkr with an apprentice Thos quine which family name also occurs in the 1851setting

more likely as parents are John quirk + ann corlett living in pat in 1841 with a cath quyne living with them (no james) who is living next door to a wm corlett shoemkr
