The Manx National Heritage Library at the musuem in Douglas does of course have films of all the parish registers, and I've used them many times. But I've also seen many messages on here recommending people use Mormon (latter day saints) family history centres near where they live off-island - they seem to be in many large towns/cities in the UK, US and presumably elsewhere. I could probably save myself a lot of time for other researches if I ever get into the habit of visiting the one about 10 miles from where I live in the UK!
