Dear Frances,
I do feel the board was quite harsh to me and I have done many e-mails and they are non-person to person and they have been quite gracious and kind. I suppose you are Frances Coakley, I am quite glad you have responded for I see from the postings that if you are the person referred to welcome back from your peers that you are the person with the web site with much information, the electronic , which has given many items of history of the Isle of Man, manuscripts , etc, etc. I do not know why you feel you would have to say who I would think Ronague farmhouse was expensive, I only referred to BALLACRICKET, is it called another name that I am not aware of and that we had received the brochure and had not gotten back to Helen Masson, and did not mention anything about expense, it was a mere 25 in sterling a night which to AMERICANS is very in-expensive, for Bed and Breakfast Inns here in our little town is 80.00 American dollars a night for any room. We stayed at one in LEICESTER for 20 sterling a night and full English breakfast and it was an EDWARDIAN , and we had the bridal suite, my Mum a lovely suite with sitting area with tea service, we do not think England is expensive attol and we think it is quite in-expensive. The food and clothing , and we bought much at MARK'S and SPENCER'. Well, enough, I want to say to Liz, don't leave the board, you may have someone break down your brick wall, it took me 35 years, and that was without technology, you have technology at your doorstep, when you least expect it someone cracks your egg and bingo, you have found that long, lost loved one. We must all take a step back and catch our breath, perhaps the Family History Society will be a help there on the Isle, you might could become a member and they are there nearby. I will add some further line for your board. Ellinor Clarke, wife of Patrick Cain. was the daughter of Pat Clarke and Kath Gawn, Ellinor Clarke was married February 11, 1736/37 in KK Ballaugh Parish, Ellinor was born Octocber 3, 1714 in KK Jurby. So maybe someone is in the this line . I hope all all a wonderful night, it has actually turned cold here, and yes , Frances, I do know how far up the Isle is, April 2006 in Leicester was cold and rainy each day there, we had only one sunny day our visit. I shall bring as before, winter and spring clothing. Remember my Mum was born in Leicester and lived there.
Warmly yours,
Mrs. Rosa
