Terrence, I thought you may like to fill in your blanks on the Quarrie family that came to NZ, & anyone else that maybe reseaching this family
John Quarrie, born 1840, Isle of Man, died: 10 July 1925 Auckland, NZ, he married Anne Jane Dianne Hall, on 13 August 1875 Auckland, she was born 1855 in South Africa, & died 18 Feb 1928, Auckland
children were
Enid Hyacinthe Alexa Quarrie
Jack, Daisy linda, Emily Miriam hardy Quarrie,
all born in Auckland
John came out on the ship " Telegraph " 1863 & was a farm labourer

his brother James Quarrie born 1834, Isle of Man, died 1916 at Fielding, Wellington, NZ
he married Jane Miller, born 1843 Isle of Man & died 1906 in Fielding, Wellington, NZ
their children were
Ada, Donald, Harriet, Robina, & hanley, all born Isle of Man then they had
John born 1880 in Wellington & their may have been another son Stanley born abt; 1876
in Wellington NZ
James and his family emigrated on the ship "
" Rakaia " 1875
it seems they went to a settlement in Wellington when they arrived called the Manchester Settlement, perhaps it was a work thing they came out on,
I am not certain yet, but James siter Emma may have also come out with the family, I will check it out some more
