Does anyone have Alice Quayle b~1900 in their tree? Not sure if she was b. IoM, more likely England. She arrived in Quebec in November 1914 aged 15yrs, travelling with her mother Mrs H Quayle, 36, plus siblings Butha, 14, (sic; Bertha?), John, 11, Daisy, 10 and Leslie, 4. The ship was the Missanabie, deptd Liverpool 6th Nov (ref findmypast.com). Their final destination was the USA, presumably to re-unite with husband/father, probably in Ishpeming area. It is not clear if the “H” in Mrs H Quayle referred to herself or her husband.
Alice married George Washington Lampshire (b.1898 MI) in 1919. He died in a mine disaster in 1926. Alice Lampshire married my gt uncle George Robert Lawson on 25th Feb 1929 at Ishpeming.
In 1930 at 108 Cleveland Avenue Ishpeming : George Lawson, 36; Alice Lawson, 30; Rbt G Lawson, 3m; Alice Lampshire, Step Daur, 5; Leslie Quayle, Bro-in-law, 20.
Any information on Alice's parents / children would be appreciated.
