Re: Help to find Christian Please

Did William marry again? Age given as 65 in the 1841 Bride census, a farmer at Ballacrink (adult ages usually lowered to the nearest 5 or 0), with Anna aged 45, both born Scotland, and Thomas, James, Isabella whose ages are all given as 15. b.IoM.

Four children's bapts 1819-25 including the three above are on the IGI with father William Hardie/Hardy, mother Margaret Howland.

Brian Lawson's burial index has: HARDIE, Margaret [aged] 34 Bride 10 Jan 1829 [HOWLAND].

In 1851 Bride census, at Ballachrink, under Hardie: William, farmer of [30?] acres, 3 labourers, aged 78, b.Scotland, wife Anne aged 56 b.Scotland, Isabella daughter aged 29 b. IoM Bride, William H Kneale grandson aged 1 b.IoM Ramsey, + 5 servants.

William Hardie KNEALE bapt. 5 July 1849 Ramsey, son of Thomas Kneale & Elinor.

Ellinor bapt 19 May 1819 Bride daur of William Hardey & Margarett Howland.

This makes Margaret's will (last message) definitely look like Margaret Christian's. Let me know if it names her Christian relatives.
