I have a baptism in Lonan for Joseph , illegitimate son of Catharine Jane Killip 20 Jan 1866 &
for Robert, illegitimate son of Ann(e) Killip 29 Feb 1868.
They appear as Joseph QUAYLE & Robert KERMEEN? respectively in the 1871 census in the househould of their uncle Thomas Killip of Ballacojeen , both unmarried mothers there also.
Any bright ideas as to how I can justify the surnames or identify the fathers ?
