Any help on this surname would be appreciated. My great-grandmother is Clara Edge (nee Cannell) She was born in Tranmere, Birkenhead but her parents are from Isle of Man. They are Alfred Ernest Cannell and Isobel (?) Cowell. My grandmother has 3 elder siblings called Alfred, Ernest and Isobel (born about 1900 - 1909) then there was a 7year gap before she was born in 1916 then David, Betty and Mona.

Clara's father also had a brother called Thomas and a brother called Robert. I believe her grandfather was called Robert H Cannell. Uncle Thomas married a lady called Clara also and after living in Birkenhead they returned to Isle of Man when my grandmother was young.

I am keen to know ANYTHING anyone knows!
