I was brought up at Ballachrine (also known as Ballacrine) Farm, Santon (formerly known as Santan), Isle of Man. Our family lived in it since at least 1640 but not now.
There was another smallholding on the same farm as Ballachrine. We knew it as "Jelleys" whom we presume were the last people in it as it was empty when I was young (now rebuilt and occupied by new people). However, the Cowells appear to have lived in what we knew as Jelleys in former days.
There is also a Ballavilley in Santon.
There were Moores within our family - I seem to remember that there was a Patience Moore who married one of the Quinneys from Ballachrine Farm about 5 generations ago.
Hope this helps.
