Unfortunately Google only consistently cached messages from 2001/2002 onwards, so the pre-2000 ones are mainly lost, unless they are on these two boards. And it is surprising how many responses still appear from messages written in 2000!
I was hoping that the pre-2000 messages from both boards would eventually be found, but they disappeared during one of the site updates a couple of years ago.
In particular there was a long thread about KERMEEN, mainly posted by Tom Kermen from Aloha, Oregon, USA. He had a lot of research done by Constance Radcliffe in original land records, etc., and had posted on the board a number of deed transcripts and other information which can be seen only in the Manx Museum Library.
Tom also had a website on MyFamily.com, which has disappeared.
If anyone knows how to track down Tom to find out whether he is still around, and has just lost interest in genealogy, it would be great!
