Guess most are aware that the BMD's in Manx papers pre c.1865 are available, tho only in card index form, in the Manx Museum - these also include many off-Island events (and must be admitted are very Douglas-biased). These were done by volunteer effort - it would be great if the Manx Gov could find money to put this (and other volunteer effort - eg the index to the Presements) on-line.

The Liverpool newspapers are available on microfilm at the Liverpool Central Library - I believe there was an attempt to provide an index but the index I saw was very partial and selective (eg a failed attempt to index ships mentioned in the Port section).
