if devised by will then the property would not appear in NSS - however any change should be noted in Lib Vast (or the equivalent for baronial land) - the change should also be noted (assuming Lord's rent) in the Manorial Roll which post 1700 would have a small marginal note (eg o 1800 = oct 1800) indicating when a change passed through the biannual court system.
