If you google " Florilegium McCumiskey" you get a website of short stories. One of them is called "A Manx Tale, The Wild Irish Rover", and it's about the James McCumiskey you mention.
I'd take some of it with a pinch of salt though. One detail that I'd query is the identity of the Anne Moore who married James McCumiskey in 1857. The author says that Anne Moore's father was Thomas Moore, farmer of Cloughbane ,Colby, and that her mother was Jane Kneen. He also states that Anne's siblings were Elinor b 1832, Jane b 1835 and John b 1839.
I'm pretty sure that this is the wrong Moore family. The Jane Kneen ( b 1806) who married Thomas Moore, farmer of Cloughbane and produced these children (plus others) was the youngest sister of my g g g grandmother, Esther Kneen b 1792.
I've checked my saved census pages and this Anne Moore b 1837 is still with her widowed mother in 1861, 1871, 1881, and in 1891 is next door to her brother , John, still at Cloughbane/ Claghbane Road. She was an unmarried dressmaker.
Hope this helps.
