A fellow called William Hodgkinson who descends from the Lace's of Kerrowdhoo engaged a Manx genalogist to investigate his ancestry. She indicates that indeed McGilhast was the origin of Lace, and that a Thomas McGilhas and mother were identified in a 1515
Document.
