My great-great grandfather Robert Corkill cam e to Kewanee Illinois and is one of the original settlers with land valued in the thousands back then. He was a prominent blacksmith at the coal mine and had many children. my great grandfather was born in 1875 in kewanee and my grandfather John was supposed to have been born in 1910. Census records show him however I am now being told he may have been adopted. I need to know as this could break my manx bloodline.
