Thank you Frances. I do have a copy of history of Manx Gardens" by Larch S Garrad , orderred from the Isle of Man and sent to me in Austalia. I could not find any reference to Ballaquayle. I have had some luck with Laureston and know that it was subdivided and a row of Victorian Terraces on Ballaquayle Road were built by John Ball's great grandfather.John has been most helpful with details of the Victorian Terraces and has a 1866 Ordnance Survey map which shows Laureston House and its gardens before his great grandfather built Laureston Terrace. I was hoping to find a photograph of the original house and garden in Larch's book.
