Robert Shimmin died from Rheumatic Fever / Typhoid on 21st September 1885. He was a publican at the Cattle Market Inn on the Quay in Douglas. His wife Frances Sarah Shimmin nee Bell died 3rd September 1890. Although she is included on the MI - I can't find any record of her death on the Island. At least there is no death certificate that I could find. Is it possible that the death was not recorded? Was it not compulsary to record such events?
