Don't forget that the earliest record you have for Philip Quayle said that he was "from Ballaugh", so Ballaugh wills are still your best bet - looking for a reference to a son or grandchild living in Maughold.

In my message of 2 December 2006 I also suggested, amongst other things, that looking through the Ballaugh parish register would give you a better feel for the families, their place names, and their connections, which you can't get from the IGI.

I would certainly not depend on someone else's research being correct, especially in a different parish to the ones where you know he lived.
