Thanks Sandra for your email. I have just posted another email saying that I had forgotten about the posting I did way back in 2003.
In answer to your question I am related to the Gambrills in NZ. Richard Dilnot Gambrill is my gt grandfather, and he had 2 daughters, one of whom was my grandmother. The other daughter had no children. Apparently at least one of Richard's siblings, also came to NZ, and maybe a sister. Quite a few years ago I rang up one of the Gambrills listed in Auckland and they are related but can't remember any of the details. They had at least one son who may be one of the other listings in NZ now. From some other information I have, my grandmother also had Gambrill relatives in Gisborne (she was born in 1900). The 2 brothers lived in Wellington for at least some of their time in NZ. I will ask my father as he maybe able to help more.
