Numbers in brackets refer to census years when individuals were on the IOM.

Alexander French (41 51 61) b. Scotland 1791 d. Aug 1862 and Margaret Maddrell (41 51 61) b. Rushen 1786 d. Mar 1872, married March 4 1809 in Malew parish.
They had eight children in the IGI who were christened on the IOM:

Elizabeth (41) 21 May 1817 Arbory
Catherine 24 Oct 1819 Arbory d. next day
Agnes (the IGI says Finch) (41) 25 Feb 1821

Alexander (41 51 61) 9 Apr 1826 Rushen d Oct 1868
Eleanor (41 51 61) 23 Nov 1828 Rushen

There appears to have been another daughter Euphemia (41 51 61), born Arbory c. 1811 who married Richard Clague (41 51) on Nov 7 1835. Euphemia was the name of Alexander's scottish mother.

Huken (I would like to see the original entry) does not appear in any census or burial record.
A William French aged 26 was buried in Rishen in 1836.

They had seven children christened in the IGI:

Margaret Ann Jun 27 1867 - she died two days later.
Margaret French (christened 1824) had a son called Richard French (51 61) christened 23 Nov 1845.
