A bit of a conundrum - I have William Senogles being killed in the Snaefell mine disaster on the 10th May 1897 at the age of 46 years (dob 1851), HOWEVER, he is then still included in the 1901 UK census (Ancestry.com) residing with his wife and family.
All the particulars from the census and the mine disaster report are indicating this is the correct family according to other information I have.
I realize census info is vague at best, but I have never before discovered an entry for a [supposedly] deceased person showing as alive and well and listed as "Head" of the family 4 years later. Am I expecting too much, or is the gentleman killed in 1897 someone other than 'my' man?
Thank you for any suggestions.
