I am new to this genealogy and am struggling to find anything about my great- grandmothers lineage.

Margaret Rogers shows in the 1881 census staying with her family, one James Cottier in Onchan, she is shown under her married name and has two of her children with her, my grandfather Walter Telford Rogers was not yet born. I am trying to find out whether she was married in the IOM or not. My grandfather Walter was born in the IOM as shown in the 1901 census, and in 1901 she is shown living in East Ham in Essex with Walter and another son Albert.

The two children shown in 1881 are not here at this address in East Ham and there is no record of my great-grandfather.

Can anyone help with this or point me at any helpful information?
