I have looked on Brians site and managed to get a fair bit of information on the family. To which I am very grateful to Brian.

At the moment I seem to be stuck with Francis MC ALARNEY's first wife, Ellen or Eleanor BOYDE (b. abt 1839, IOM). I have found absolutely nothing about her.

She married Francis in 1869 (IGI gives his surname as MC LAVNEY) and I was given the 1871 census info 5 years ago with their family.
But i cannot find her in any previous census.

I know she was buried in 1879 but I have failed to find any info on her other than the marriage and 1871 census.
