Mary McCarthy, M 66, b Ir.
Alice Hoy, aunt,82, annuitant, b. Ir.
Henry McCluskey, nephew, 24 yrs, gardener, b. Douglas I.O.M.

I expect you have the information from the Registry of Owen & Bridget's marriage, stating that his father was Patrick, a labourer of 45 Strand St. and that her father was Henry McCartan, a farmer, of Kirk Onchan. The witnesses at the marriage being Hugh McCarthy & Ellen McGuire.

I am presuming that Hugh & Henry McCarthy were brothers.

The reason I have copied down the data is that my maiden name was McCartan

I have Hugh McCarthy's family on all the census in I.O.M. from 1841 until his death 19 June 1881, which Henry McCluskey, nephew, registered.

I hope this helps. If it is the correct family I have other information. Marie Radcliffe
