MARRIAGE ENTRY COPY/WRONG NAME?

I have a copy of an entry from a Marriage Register for Kirk Braddan between my grt grandparents, Henry Edward Bell and Mary Richardson. This copy includes the name of the bride's father which I am now questioning as being correct. Would I be too presumptuous in requesting a second look through the General Registry Records to ascertain if an error occurred when the copy was being completed? The copy was obviously handwritten by the Registrar, Civil Registry and I am concerned that what he interpreted to be "Daniel", was in fact "David". If so, this would greatly help to clear up a "brick wall" I have run into. I certainly do not wish to embarrass anyone and wondered if this type of problem occurs fairly frequently, or am I just looking for an easy answer to my dilemma? Has anyone else ever had the need to request a second look? I have tried all other avenues of enquiry in order to clarify this question, without success.

Another question - I am wanting to determine if a Will was made by a 2nd grt grandparent and would appreciate knowing how to find this information. Can anyone help?

Many thanks for your consideration.
