Our Carmont family is traced back to John Carmont who married Elizabeth CAVEN at Buittle, Kircudbright, Scotland on 5 Oct 1826, but we have been unable to trace back further as yet, although there was family tales of an Isle of Man connection.
John & Elizabeths children were Margaret, Alexander, Allan John (Sheenas GG Grandfather) Jane & Agnes.
The family later emigrated to NZ.
