CROITCH? OF CRAINE

Can anyone help me with identifying somewhere pronounced in the family history as the 'Croitch' of Craine? I realize that in Manx it may have been spelt quite differently. It could be in Kirk German, Jurby or Andreas, where we have found ancestors so far. Our earliest link is to Philip Craine, who died 26 April 1846 and was buried in German. His son Philip, baptised 16 December 1838, Jurby left the island with his wife Margaret Stevenson and ended up in Manchester, where he died in 1907. There were also supposed links to the Manx Giant - who was he please? Any help would be great. Jennie Craine, Wales
