Hi everybody,
I am new to the family research, and also to this bulletin board. I am trying to find out about my husband's paternal line, but unfortunately there is nobody to ask. So one of the few persons on that side of the family I know of, is my late father-in-law's uncle, who according to family 'legend' was once a deemster on the Isle of Man. His name was Gerald BAXANDALL, and I assume that he would have been deemster on the first half of the last century. He had a brother named Archibald, who we believe was born in 1890s, and family is likely to originate from Yorkshire.
If anybody knows about anywhere I could get information about former deemsters, I would be most gratefull, if you could let me know, too.
Many thanks.
Katriina Baxandall
