finding John Cowley

I'm trying to find John Cowley who was born around 1750. He married Margorie Kieggan (b. 1752 d. 1814) in 1775 and he died in 1820. He travelled down to the Parish of Rushen to do this but I don't know from where. I'm fairly confident that his son William (b. 1776 d.1812) or grandson William was involved in blowing up the ship the Brig Lilly in Calf sound. William married Margaret Maddrell. John's other children were named Marjorie (b.1780 d.1817) John (b.17820) Edward Margaret (b. 1787 d. 1804 and buried in Rushen) Thomas (b. 1790) and Catherine (b. 1795)

John's son Edward Cowley (b.1784 d.1869) is my direct line and he married Edward Cowley (b.1784 d.1869). His first 8 children were born on the Island :-
Ann (b1851) Elizebeth (b1852) Rebecca (b.1854) John (b1856) William (b1858) Thomas (b.1860) Emma (b1862) Frances (b1863) before he moved to Liverpool where Jessie (b1866) Samual (b1868) and my desendant Joseph (b1869) were born.

Joseph married Theresa Burke and the family line remained in Liverpool until I returned to the Island with my family in 1989.

Can anyone help link into any of these names ?

Any information would be appreciated ... Rob Cowley
