Hello all...My family folklore has an ancestor Samuel Hunter being born 1792 on Man or Wight..later emigrating to America/Canada..Marrying a Judith Putney 1818 in Vermont USA and dying 1874 in Québec Canada...It is believed but unproven that he came from either Man or Wight..A possible clue to his father b. 1758 was Scot/Irish from Tyrone moved to Man prior to his birth...Is there any one with information about this family...I am at the straw clutching stage in trying to determine the correct family lines...Thanks for any assistance to any one who can help me...
