It is all very confusing as Patrick does not seem to have had another wife and I assumed that dau Sarah died in early infancy after his marriage in 1793 though one should not assume anything. He is said to have come to the island from France in 1792 (wiith no mention of a wife) as a wealthy man so he would have been a good catch. Family lore has it that he or father was one of the 'wild geese' though he probably kept that quiet.
