I have been given information by a poster on another board about the above, re an impeachment made by Thomas of Lytherland, wherein the name ALTKAR was mentioned.
He would have been in the employ of the Stanleys, who came from Lancashire.

How did the Stanleys come to be on the island etc. etc.??
