Hi! I looked on Ancestry and couldn't find a marriage in UK or IOM for Daniel and Alice, but I did find Alice's family in Kirk Michael, IOM, in 1891 and 1901 Census.
1891:
Daniel Alfred Quayle, Head, 32, Agricultural labourer
Ellen wife, 25,
Ellen J., dau, 5
Daniel, son, 3
Alfred, son, 3,
Alice, dau, 8 months.

In 1901 their ages are 43, 35, 13, 13 (twins?), 10 and there is another daughter, Florence, 4.

Could Daniel and Alice have married on board ship on their way back to New Zealand?
