Hi. researching Corkhill family of Kirk Lonan/Santan. I have a reference to the lands around the cronk na marro burial mound in Santan being refered to as 'Torkilstadt' in old records with an apparent connection to the viking Thorkel the Tall. Does anyone have any more information about this? I would be very grateful to hear from you.
