going back over some details I have for the Sheard tree, is there anyway of confirming some information?

On the LDS IGI it states John Sheard married Elizabeth Corkill, yet on the manx page for veterans it has

SHEARD John Bradford, Yorkshire 1771 11th Royal Veteran Battalion; 5th Royal Veteran Battalion; 3rd Dragoons 1794-1816 WO 97/1128/264 Married Elizabeth CRELLIN German 1811 (presumeably whilst stationed at Peel).

I beleive their children has Corkill as mother's name, but it's hard to know what to take as being gospel.
