With regards to Sue's thread, there's also a John and Catherine Lynch ( nee duffy i think ) on the 1851 born Ireland c 1813. They had children
Elenor Lynch 12
James Lynch 3 Mo
John Lynch 4
Mary Lynch 8
He was a Hawker and lived on what i think says Back Land st, Douglas. No sign of them on the 1861, but Mary and John jr are boarders at ages 15 and 16.
Andrew was a labourer on the 1851 at Cattle Market st, Douglas.
