Much has been written about the Looney family that came to America back in the early 1700s. The various Looney/Luna lines descended from these Looney's is well documented in the Looney family Manuscripts by Leroy W Tilton. Some of these Looney descendants have now confirmed their descent back to the Isle of Man through DNA testing, my line which is now in Texas being one of them.
