Thank you for that information. I am aware of a significent number of under 16's having babys in this age. I've read many a historical story/legend about young girls aged about 12 being pledged into a marriage relationship. I believe there are still cultures that do this.
I don't know if I will find any young mums in my ancestry - but I looked into the possibility at one stage when I found a grandchild living with his grandparents and aunts in one of the census's. Still unsure of that child's parentage (Charles Kelly b abt 1854 - I've made enquiries about this family in previous postings, and have found only one possibility that didn't really add up to what I know of the father, Richard Steele, named in the LDS information source).
