In this period of time glass negatives were used and nearly all were cleaned off, refloated for reuse.
Do not delay contact every relation you can think of and try to beg borrow but not steal any photos they may have with names if possible, plus a list of reatives they know of, or you may miss out a treasure trove of photos.
