John Thomas Cowell appears in Frances Coakley's Manx Notebook in a few places but notably with photo in the Manx Examiner’s 1899 yearbook ( http://www.isle-of-man.com/manxnotebook/exans/prt_1899.htm ) and in the 1920 Manx Quarterly #21 http://www.isle-of-man.com/manxnotebook/mquart/mq21097.htm where there is a nice write-up. He has inexplicably shown up as an executing party on a bond for my second great grandfather William Clegg’s will (1819-1891)and we can find no relationship with him or any of his relatives. Yet a photo purporting to be of J T Cowell and his wife has shown up in a collection of photos saved in our family. Does anyone have a relaiably labelled picture of John Thomas Cowell and/or his wife nee Esther

The internally dated write-up in the Manx Quarterly at his death indicates (d in December 1919 at age of 68) that JT Cowell was born in Douglas in 1851. If anyone can help me on this project, I would appreciate it.
