Denise, what dates were the wills which you ordered by email?
I was under the impression that only post-1910 wills are available at the Deeds and Probate Registry Building which is the address you gave. And that the earlier ones are available (apart from LDS centres) only through the Manx National Heritage Library (Manx Museum) who stopped supplying photocopies of wills years ago, but suggest private agents because of the time it can take to go through a film where the wills can be missing or out of order.
However I could be completely out of date with this impression, having not been to either place for years - so I'd be very interested to know.
